After good flights but little sleep everyone arrived in Paris on time (all a little early actually) & transferred to our hotel in the 14th arrondisement.
There we all rendezvoused, checked-in, & met our local Parisian guide Angelique for an introductory walking tour of the city.
We walked through southern Paris, stopping to buy croissants, seeing the Luxembourg Gardens, strolling through the Latin Quarter, & lunching at a local cafe. Later we visited Notre Dame, some tried crepes, then we continued across the Isle St. Louis & into the Marais before riding the metro back to our hotel.
There was time to refresh & relax at the hotel before dinner at the Bistro Romain on the twinkling Champs Élysées. After dinner we enjoyed a stroll on the famous avenue & took in the view of the Arc de Triomphe before heading back to the hotel & to bed at the end of a long but great first day!
